Yesterday it attracted us again to the rustic old mill at the Moselle. Here you always feel comfortable, secure and well cared for, so that you love to visit it again and again.
Doesn’t it look like an enchanted fairytale castle?! 🙂
Thomas Höreth and his wife Gudrun have invested so much love and effort into the renovation of the old mill from the 11th century and have created something wonderful.
As always the restaurant was very well frequented and we were glad to find a nice place in a quiet and cosy corner.
And again we discovered a lot of lovingly created details such as a book to browse on every table.
Even the menu is funny and written in a very personal way. Funny anecdotes and nice quotes provide much food for thought or bring a smile upon your face.
The classic for 25 years: Home-made poppy ice cream with hot plums.
Have an envious glance at this apple pie!
Who wants a special marriage ceremony and likes romantic and quaint atmosphere can get married in the fountain cellar.
Before you find the right one, you can have a lot of fun with the wrong ones… We mean of course the wine!
In the little store you will find excellent wine by Thomas Höreth to take away. And the “Take-away wine” can also be purchased online here.
… Kindly note the cute squirrel!
Part 1 – Here you can read our report about a romantic night for two in the private hotel of the old Mill.
The report about the vineyard kitchen with regional fresh cuisine will follow in short in Part 3. 😉
