The Residence Bintan by Cenizaro, Indonesia – Tropical Oasis overlooking the South China Sea

Luxury & relaxation in the middle of tropical nature

Just a stone’s throw from Singapore, in the heart of the Riau Archipelago, you will find the island of Bintan – a tropical paradise with sun-drenched beaches, crystal clear waters, and forested hills. Close to the island’s capital, Tanjung Pinang, “The Residence Bintan” is an idyllic retreat that combines the rural charm of a traditional Asian village with luxurious modern touches and environmentally friendly hotel concepts. On the picturesque east coast of Bintan, you will find relaxation and seclusion.

Cenizaro Hotels & Resorts is a leading international hotel company with a portfolio of independent luxury hotels in some of the world’s most desirable locations. In addition to hotels in Tunis, Zanzibar, Mauritius and the Maldives, The Residence Bintan, which opened in 2018, is now also part of the Cenizaro family. With great attention to detail, the various hotels reflect the individual personality of each country, contribute to the protection of the environment and support to the local population.

“We want to offer our guests the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the surroundings, the local variety of species and tastes in the gardens, and also the close connection with the local community.” Alexys Tjhia, Director of Corporate Responsibility at The Residence by Cenizaro

Embedded in nature

The 127 light-flooded suites and villas with terrace or pool offer plenty of space for families, friends, and couples. They all combine simplistic, contemporary design with a touch of Indonesian style.

One Bedroom Beachfront Villa

The 125 square meters Beachfront Villas have bedrooms with panoramic sea views, outdoor terraces with infinity pools, king-size beds, sofas, day beds, and large bathrooms with bath and shower.

Thanks to the lush tropical garden, you have a lot of privacy and indulge yourself in relaxation.

The dark, hand-carved wooden furniture and beams are made by local craftsmen.

Those who would like to can enjoy a “floating dinner” in their own villa or have their private butler prepare a picnic basket for an island excursion.

The resort is very spacious, so each villa also has its own bicycle.

Beach

The long beach with the beautiful palm trees is great for beach walks, and at low tide, you can walk far out to sea.

Immerse yourself in peace and quiet

The shimmering infinity pool, with its sea view, offers pure relaxation.

Hospitality with heart

The Dining Room

In the open main restaurant, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with a view of the sea. A selection of western specialties and Asian home cooking is served.

Fruit, vegetables, eggs, and even fish come from the hotel’s own permaculture farm.

Pool Bar

Directly at the pool, you will find refreshing cocktails and delicious snacks in the Pool Bar.

Rica Rica

The architecture in Restaurant Rica Rica is inspired by the traditional fishermen’s huts called “Kelong.” Here, authentic Indonesian dishes are served with ingredients from the region in a wonderfully romantic setting.

Well-being for body, mind, and soul

The Spa

In this beautifully located spa, products from the award-winning British spa brand ilā are used and modern techniques are combined with ancient Ayurvedic and Indonesian traditions.

Inner peace and well-being can be found here, for example, through marma therapy, healing and tapping the meridian, or through chakra and sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls.

Our treatment by professional therapists was relaxing and is highly recommended.

Sustainability

Environmentally friendly hotel concepts conserve natural resources and make a significant contribution to raising the awareness of holidaymakers. The new Earth Basket initiative is part of the Cenizaro Cares programme and supports each resort in transforming an area of the resort into a year-round vegetable garden.

Since the foundation of the “Earth Basket” in December 2019, almost 600 kg of fresh produce has already been harvested. The team also looks after a flock of chickens and ducks that supply fresh eggs. Besides, dwarf coconut trees, Pulai trees, and Singapore cherry trees have been planted. In the hotel’s own spice garden, there are also herbs that guests can use to learn how to prepare Jamu – a traditional Indonesian herbal tonic.

The Earth Basket initiative positively impacts the environment, with the land that has already been cleared and converted into a thriving habitat with increasing species diversity. I some resorts, the indigenous fauna is also thriving and developing into a healthy habitat again.

With the “Soap for Hope” recycling programme (launched by Diversey in 2013), daily soap residues are processed and reused. These soaps will benefit people who have limited or no access to sanitation (1.5 million people so far).

These initiatives are part of the overarching Cenizaro Cares programme, which encompasses all the Group’s resorts and also involves local communities. It is at the core of Cenizaro’s sustainability strategy and underlines its commitment to inspire change for a more sustainable future.

Conclusion

We really enjoyed the relaxing ambiance in this spacious resort nestled in nature’s splendour,  spa treatments, and beautiful pool villas with magnificent sea views. The staff was, as so far everywhere in Indonesia and also at the Cenizaro Hotels, amiable and considerate.

Tokoriki Island Resort, Mamanuca Islands, Fiji – Romance, Luxury & Unlimited Spa Experience

“Arrive as a visitor and leave as a friend”

Fiji is the ultimate place of yearning in the South Seas! It is one of the happiest places with the most charming people in the world. The Award Winning Tokoriki Island Resort is one of the most romantic, adults-only resorts we have ever visited. The warm Fijian hospitality of the kind staff touches you deeply, and the design of the 5-star luxury boutique resort is truly impressive. Visiting Tokoriki was an unforgettable experience that can only be described in one word – bliss!

More than 20 years ago, Andrew Turnbull, a successful lollipop importer, decided to buy Tokoriki Island and fulfilled his dream of owning his own resort. With his love for Fiji and the locals, he has created a luxury resort that today is among the top 1% in the world.

“Everyone said I didn’t have a clue about running a resort but my wife and I had travelled around the world and we knew what we liked in a hotel.” – Andrew Turnbull, Owner

Fiji is an island state in the South Pacific, north of New Zealand and east of Australia. Tokoriki, located in the Mamanuca Islands, can be reached from the main island Viti Levu in style by helicopter in 15 minutes or by catamaran in an hour.

Both the welcome and farewell in Fiji is unique and exceptional indeed. We were picked up by boat and warmly welcomed by Vincent.

Upon arrival at Tokoriki, we were welcomed with a welcome song, a beautiful necklace, a refreshing drink and a foot ritual, which can be redeemed at the spa.

The extraordinary design of the resort, the garden, and the Bures was created by Yvonne, the wife of owner Andrew Turnbull. With great attention to detail, she has selected every single piece of furniture and decorative element to create a unique ambiance. What an incredible eye for design!

“There isn’t a light switch or a coat of paint my wife hasn’t chosen,” – Andrew Turnbull, Owner

Everything looks incredibly stylish, yet with the warm earthy tones and natural materials, it exudes a comfortable and cosy atmosphere inviting you to feel at home and relax!

At the bar, besides beaming smiles, you can also get an ice-cold Fijian beer or a fancy cocktail.

Beach, please!

You can swim in the crystal clear water of the spectacular lagoon at low and high tide. By the way, Tokoriki is also a member of the Mamanuca Environment Society that helps to protect turtles, corals and monitor the water quality.

Pool Time

At the 25 m long freshwater infinity pool, you can relax, enjoy the peace and quiet and the sea view. With a maximum of 72 guests on the island, you will always find a free sunbed.

The spectacular lighting of the torches at the pool by the typical Fiji Warriors at sunset is not to be missed!

Beachfront Bures & Villas

The unique 36 detached Bures and villas are all located on the beach and embody a blend of contemporary style and Fijian design. They are at least 60 square meters, air-conditioned and have beautiful tropical indoor and outdoor showers. All have a large terrace with mesmerizing views of the azure sea and 28 of them also have a private pool.

Beachfront Pool Bure

To get away from it all, relax and unwind, and just enjoy nature, there are no televisions, telephones or internet.

The warm colours, the natural materials, the stunning works of art and the typical Fijian decorative elements, create a romantic and intimate atmosphere.

We could use this beautiful Bure, number 1, on the last day until our departure.

Taste of the Islands

On Tokoriki, there are many possibilities to enjoy the delicious Fijian food. You can enjoy the delicious dishes with local and imported products in your own villa, on the jetty, in the restaurant or by the sea. Daily changing menus with South Pacific and Asian influences and a modern international touch are served.

If you book half-board, a sumptuous breakfast with sparkling wine, afternoon tea and a 3-course menu is included. There is no extra charge for breakfast or dinner by the sea or the teppanyaki experience. With full-board, a 2-course lunch is also included.

Breakfast by the sea

Breakfast with this stunning ocean view is simply mesmerizing!

Lunch

What is extraordinary about lunch, is not only the delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, but also the live music provided by talented singers, like Vili.

“Vili has a voice of an angel. If you hear him sing “Hallelujah” you will cry!!” – Andrew Turnbull, Owner

Halleluja – sung by Vili:

Oishii Teppanyaki

The Teppanyaki experience is an intimate, social dining experience in the tropical garden surrounded by water lily ponds for a maximum of four couples. The À-la-carte menu, served by the entertaining chef, is tasty and a lot of fun!

Dinner

Sunset Dining

It does not get more romantic than dinner by the sea at sunset! This really is the perfect spot to celebrate special occasions.

We celebrated Marcus’ birthday here. Being serenaded by the warm-hearted employees, the surprise birthday cake and then Vili and Tom, who sang for us, ensured that this was an unforgettable experience!

Unlimited ’60 Minute Massage’ Retreat

The spa at Tokoriki is beautifully embedded in nature and has lovely open and uniquely designed treatment rooms. Usually, treatments in such a luxury resort are expensive. But with the “Unlimited Spa” offer, Andrew and his wife wanted to provide an affordable package so that everyone could enjoy the massages. Magnificient!

When you book the spa package, once you arrive at the resort, you can arrange spa appointments for the next few days. Where else can you get a 60 Minute massage twice a day? Absolutely brilliant!

Unlimited 60-minute massage retreat

  • 3 days FJ$450 per person or FJ$790 per couple
  • 4 days FJ$550 per person or FJ$990 per couple
  • 5 days FJ$650 per person or FJ$1190 per couple

The massages are performed by loving and professionally certified therapists and are an incredibly relaxing spa experience amidst volcanic rock walls, gentle falling water and birdsong.

Only Nama products are used. The ingredients come from the pristine waters of the Yasawa region of Fiji, an unspoiled region without any pollution. The Nama Collection is free from synthetic fragrances, chemicals, parabens, synthetic colours or flavours and is created to provide lasting hydration.

Thanks to the beautiful ambiance and the lovely therapists we enjoyed this special spa experience tremendously!

Telunas Private Island, Riau Islands, Indonesia – Exclusive Eco-Resort with Overwater Villas near Singapore

Relaxation & barefoot luxury on a romantic island paradise with a sustainable concept and social commitment

Only three hours from Singapore, one finds this environmentally friendly, hidden jewel on a small island. Without W-Fi, keys, air conditioning, TV or ringing phones, Telunas Private Island offers pure relaxation in 15 traditionally built water villas, in the infinity pool, or in the spectacular spa on stilts in the middle of the beautiful jungle.

It all started with a dream…

College friends Mike and Eric made their dream come true with Telunas Beach Resort when they opened this small, family-run eco-resort in 2004. With its remote location, it is influenced by the local culture. It has a positive impact on the surrounding communities, the eco-system, and the environment. Here guests can reconnect with nature and escape from everyday life.

10 years later, the exclusive Telunas Private Island was added. At the moment another resort on a small Indonesian island is being planned.

Both Telunas resorts are extraordinary in their own way. Everything is designed to support the surrounding villages and the 160 talented local staff, Children from all over the world are introduced to the beautiful natural scenery and the sustainable way of life. And isn’t this how tourism in the future should be? Sustainable, supportive, and with a more profound local experience.

The Telunas philosophy

Simplify.
Clarify.
Connect.

It is only a one hour ride with the ferry from Singapore to Batam, followed by another one and a half-hour boat trip to Telunas. Finally, one arrives at the island where one is welcomed with a bright smile even when it is raining.

It is really seldom that we bonded with the local staff so quickly and were able to do so much with them, and as a result, got to know and understand their way of life on a much more intricate level. They are some of the friendliest people we have ever met. We never felt like guests, but more like friends.

Inviting cool water

At the beautiful infinity pool, you can relax with a great view of the sea.

At lunchtime and in the evening, you can enjoy delicious cocktails with your feet in the sand at the sand bar. In the hotel lobby, there is also an Honesty Bar, where you can always get fresh juices and beer.

Overwater Villas

The 15 water villas are inspired by the Melayu architecture and built like an Indonesian Kampung – a traditional water village – using only local materials on stilts above the water.

All villas have a balcony with sun loungers, a living area, a bedroom with a king-size bed and magnificent sea views, a natural stone bathroom, and a loft bedroom for children.

The roof consists of sage leaves, which are only collected when they have fallen to the ground naturally.

Inside the villas with their rustic style, look like chic beach houses. The beautiful wooden floors, the cozy rattan furniture, and the handmade furniture from local fishing boats create an incredibly comfortable atmosphere.

There is no air conditioning as the villas are naturally wind conditioned thanks to the sea breeze. And to completely eliminate plastic bottles, there is a hot and cold water dispenser. Mosquito repellent and after-sun lotion are also provided.

From the balcony, you have a great view of the sea, the Telunas Beach Resort, and the most breathtaking sunrises. If you like, you can even try fishing here.

Ridge Villas
On Teluna’s Private Island, five beautiful villas are currently being built on lofty heights on the mountain, which will soon offer stunning views of the beautiful ocean.

Local fresh cuisine

In the fabulous open restaurant, breakfast is served daily, and at noon and in the evening, you have a changing 3-course à la carte menu to choose from. The chef, Surya, and his team put a smile on your face with a mixture of delicious traditional Indonesian and Western-influenced dishes.

Breakfast

In addition to all kinds of different Indonesian coffees, fresh fruits and juices, muesli, and much more are offered. The warm sweet dishes and egg dishes can be ordered the evening before, at dinner.

Lunch

At lunchtime, fresh salads and typical Indonesian dishes are served. If you don’t like the specific dish, an alternative is always offered.

If you have been fishing, you can enjoy your freshly caught fish at lunch or dinner.

Dinner

Those who wish can also book a candlelight dinner, a gala dinner by the pool or even a meal in the village.

The food is fresh, mouth-watering and varied. The service is terrific!

Telunas Spa

The absolute highlight here at Telunas Private Island is the unique above-water spa with its beautiful open treatment rooms on stilts surrounded by mangrove trees. The view of the sea is mesmerizing!

The spa treatments are very professional and wonderfully relaxing with the sound of the waves and the wind. Highly recommended!

Activities

Daily special activities are offered, such as cooking classes, waterfall walks, village tours, boat trips for fishing, and much more. There are also kayaks and paddle boards for the beach and a natural jogging path.

Handline Fishing

An exceptional experience was the boat trip, where Sarul showed us how to catch fish the traditional way, with only a fishing line and hook.

Of course, it was not as easy as it looked. But it was a lot of fun. And the good thing: it is a sustainable fishing method.

Telunas Beach Resort

The Telunas Beach Resort is a back-to-basics beach resort. It is very popular with large families and school classes from all over the world. The Telunas Center offers an unforgettable learning experience for students outdoors.

There are a dining room, a diving platform, and an expansive beach. Another restaurant is currently being built where families can enjoy a little more peace and quiet.

Sustainability, nature conservation, and social commitment

Digging wells, protecting endangered sea turtles, teaching English as a second language, providing sports equipment and facilities for local children, repairing schools, replacing roofs for local islanders, providing a computer lab and college scholarships for students, Teluna’s healthy lifestyle camps, reducing plastic – these are just some of the projects Mike and Eric are working on for the surrounding communities. For example, the resort furniture was made by local craftsmen, and the houses themselves were built by local builders. (More info >>)

Impacting Indonesia for a Better Tomorrow

Young fishermen, like Sarul, who were slowly running out of an income source due to overfishing of the seas, has found a great job at the Telunas resorts. Sarul, with his big infectious smile, loves to take care of the guests and introduce them to his culture.

Conclusion

The back-to-basics concept at Telunas is a perfect fit. We love such simple, yet luxurious resorts. The ultimate luxury here is to unplug, reconnect with yourself, and energize your soul amidst nature.  You are surrounded by natural materials, enjoy healthy fresh food, and get to know the country and its people. The simplified lifestyle without keys and TV, far away from the hustle and bustle of the world, has something to it! Teluna’s Private Island is a wonderfully romantic, hidden gem that offers warm hospitality and exceptional service that comes from the heart. It is a unique haven for a romantic holiday with so much added value!

VOMO Island, Mamanuca Islands, Fiji – Stylish Luxury, Fijian culture and Relaxation under Palm Trees

5-Star Luxury Island Holiday for Couples and Families

Listening to the rustling palm leaves in the wind on a hammock, enjoying outstanding sushi at the infinity pool, snorkeling with friendly reef sharks and experiencing Fijian culture up close – our time at the luxurious Vomo was quite simply spectacular!

The Vomo Islands, with its two magnificent islands, Vomo and Vomo Lailai, are a remote South Pacific paradise with luxurious villas, excellent cuisine, fantastic snorkeling, and incredibly beautiful long white beaches around the island. The 255-hectare private island with 28 villas and four private residences offer absolute privacy and are surrounded by untouched and breathtakingly beautiful natural scenery.

Vomo is located in the Mamanuca Island group – a group of 20 palm-fringed islands surrounded by crystal clear emerald green waters. The region lies off the west coast of Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji, and is home to some of the most exclusive resorts in the world.

It started with a warm, personal touch by being greeted with a welcome song and a beautiful shell necklace.

Resort all-inclusive services

  • All meals and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • L’Occitane body and bath products
  • Daily laundry service
  • Non-motorized water sports
  • Use of the golf course, fitness room, tennis court
  • Weekly Fiji cultural show with traditional Fiji Lovo festival
  • Free butler service (7 – 23 h) for the Private Residences

The Beach

The natural beaches are protected by an outer reef and are perfect for snorkeling and swimming.

The Rocks Pool & Bar – Adults only

The Rocks Bar on the western tip of the island has recently been renovated and extended to include the spectacular The Rocks Pool. A perfect oasis for adults only!

With cocktails, snacks, and impressive sunsets, it is a marvelous place to spend time on the designer daybeds, submerged pool seats and sun loungers with parasols. Once a week, there is also an adults-only dinner.

The service and food are truly exceptional! Manoa, the bartender, immediately stole our hearts.

Beachfront Villa

At the foot of Mount Vomo, you will find the luxurious Resort Villas, Beachfront Villa, Haven, which are free-standing dwellings with no adjoining neighbors, and Retreat, which offer outdoor bathrooms. The villas are located directly on the beach and surrounded by beautiful coconut trees or secluded on the hillside, like the Hillside Villa, with plenty of privacy.

The luxurious design of the villas perfectly blends contemporary elegance with traditional Fijian elements.

The bathroom is ultra-stylishly designed, and with the free-standing bathtub and the brass elements, it reminded us a little bit of Africa.

The heart and soul of the resort are the cheerful staff. A friendly Bula with a beaming smile that touches your soul.

Pool

Another stunning pool is located directly at the restaurant.

The Reef Restaurant & Vudu Bar

The gourmet cuisine at Vomo offers a variety of fresh seafood and local Fijian and Indian dishes with a Pacific flair. The menu changes every day and is prepared with the best ingredients and herbs and vegetables from their own cultivation.

The Vudu Bar offers an extensive wine and cocktail list and is great for relaxing in the open air.

Traditional Fiji Lovo Buffet

An exceptional buffet is offered for Fijian Night – meat and vegetables are cooked the traditional Fijian way for 3 hours in an earth oven. Incredibly tasty and so tender!

Fijian Night

Every Wednesday, there is a manager cocktail party on the beach, followed by a spectacular Meke show and Kava ceremony.

You get to experience the Fijian culture with their pure joy of life up close!

To witness such a traditional kava ceremony with the juice made from a pepper plant is memorable and mesmerizing.

The daily changing à-la-carte menus can be enjoyed in a romantic atmosphere under the starry skies at the pool.

If you are still not tired after dinner, you can listen to the delightful sounds of the staff and you might as well enjoy another Kava drink, after all, they play until the Kava is finished.

Every day at 11 am a snorkeling safari with guides departs from Ocean Play. If you would like to, you can even snorkel with sharks. We were lucky to see some Black Tip and White Tip Sharks up close. Spectacular!

Conclusion

The Vomo Islands and the resort are majestically beautiful, and the natural landscape is extraordinary! The villas on the beach are very chic and offer an out of this world,  luxurious atmosphere directly by the ocean. The Rocks Pool is stylish, and the view of the sea and Vomo Lailai Island is breathtaking! We especially loved the Fijian Night here. Fijian singing, tropical island feeling and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for getting away from it all

The owner-managed, cozy beach resort is located on the main island Viti Levu in the village of Lautoka and has the only white coral sand beach in the Nadi region. Set amidst the tropical rainforest, this intimate, authentic Fijian resort on Nalamu Beach is the perfect stopover on your way to an unforgettable trip to Fiji.

This romantic resort is perfect for couples and families and offers guests a personal service with authentic Fijian hospitality.

According to local legend, First Landing’s beach is the very first place foot was set on by the settlers and adventurers about 3500 years ago, around 1500 BC.

Due to its west-facing location, you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets with a magical display of colors and a stunning view of the Mamanuca Islands.

The resort, with its unique beach location, has a pool, a beach restaurant, two bars, a spa, and a boutique.

Tropical living under palm trees

The First Landing Resort offers an incredible variety of villas, bungalows, and apartments to suit every budget and also with a self-catering option. The accommodation offers plenty of privacy with either garden views or spectacular views of the nearby islands and the Pacific Ocean. Modern design blends beautifully with the Fiji rainforest village style. The typical high ceilings make the accommodation seem even more spacious than they are. They all have a terrace, air conditioning, fan, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, safe, telephone, and radio but no TV.

Villas

The villas offer loads of comfort, have a private pool, and one to three bedrooms.

Royal Beach Villa

The luxurious Royal Beachfront Villa, which Prince Charles also visited, is a beautiful private oasis under majestic palm trees and massive flowering rain trees in the middle of a lush tropical garden. It is perfect for a honeymoon!

This villa with ocean views has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchenette, a living area on the ground floor, a beautiful pool, an outdoor shower, and a terrace with a sitting area.

Sunset Cocktail & Happy Hour
Delicious cocktails are served at the Nalamu & Domoni Sunset Bar while the staff sings lovely Fijian songs.

Dinner
At the beach restaurant, Mai Kana, you can enjoy delicious dishes with your feet in the sand and a mesmerizing view of the ocean, terrific live music, and personal service.

Besides the brilliant live music from the talented and gifted singers at the resort, there is so much more on offer, such as:

We especially loved the singing at First Landing. In the evening, every table gets serenaded. And the famous farewell song “Isa Lei” is dedicated to each guest that leaves the following day.

Paradise Cove, Naukacuvu Island, Yasawa Islands, Fiji – an enchanting South Sea paradise

Fijian culture, relaxed beach life and the spectacular underwater world in the South Pacific

To be on the other side of the world, listening to the Fijian sounds, swimming in the crystal clear waters of the azure blue ocean, relaxing under the palm trees or cooling down in your own pool, our long-cherished South Sea dream came true at the 5-star island resort Paradise Cove on the paradisiacal Yasawa Islands.

The resort is exceptionally relaxed – all you really need is beachwear and flip-flops – and never before have we enjoyed spending time with the warmhearted staff and snorkeling in one of the most beautiful living coral reefs, as much as here.

By boat (SSC Yasawa Flyer), it takes about three hours from the main island to Paradise Cove. That might sound long, but time passes quickly, thanks to the fantastic views. As soon as you reach the Yasawa Islands by boat, you will be greeted by a typical Fijian warrior.

Discovered in the 19th century by people lost at sea, sailors, escaped convicts and adventurers – today Fiji is a South Sea paradise with just 860,000 people and, in our humble opinion, the friendliest people in the world.

Fiji is located in the region of Melanesia that consists of 333 islands, of which about 150 are inhabited. The beautiful archipelago in the South Seas with the main islands Viti Levu and Vanua Levu is located between New Zealand and Hawaii. Rainforests, savannahs with acacia trees, mangroves on the coasts, coconut palms, mountains up to 1300 meters high, heavenly beaches and beautiful lagoons makes Fiji picture perfect indeed.

Paradise Cove is hidden among beautiful coconut trees on the island of Naukacuvu in the Navit archipelago. The beach resort has three pools, a restaurant, two bars, a kids club, a spa, and an adults only sanctuary.

BULA

Upon arrival, you will be greeted in a typical Fijian fashion with a local welcome song and a warm BULA (Hello)! Like everywhere in Fiji, the staff are so friendly, cheerful and kindhearted! And here at Paradise Cove, some have even stolen our hearts.

Vitamin Sea

The resort has a beautiful long sandy beach where you can relax and swim and snorkel at low and high tide. The Beachfront Villas have their own sunbeds and umbrellas. Guests can also use the sunbeds at the pool and on the beach in front of the restaurant.

To experience these colorful coral reefs and the countless fish, you do not even have to take a boat out to the reef – you can start snorkeling from the beach. Absolute madness!

Pool by the Sea

The large swimming pool with its sand bar offers refreshment on hot days.

Bungalows & Villas

Paradise Cove offers a wide range of accommodation, with plenty of room for families and privacy for couples. All 45 bungalows and villas are furnished in typical Fijian style with handmade local furniture and beautiful open air bathrooms.

Paradise Suite

The magnificent Paradise Suite is located directly on the beach, has a private pool, a swinging daybed, sunbeds on the terrace and on the beach, a large living and lounge area and a beautiful jungle bathroom with double outdoor shower.

With the huge glass door, which can be pushed open completely and the windows with fly screens, you can practically live and sleep outside. One of a kind!

You have a lot of privacy and the beach in front of the Paradise Suite is almost all yours.

The open bathroom with private garden, stylish stone floor and Balinese washbasins has a wonderful jungle atmosphere and is one of the most beautiful outdoor pools we have ever seen.

(Paradise) Garden Bungalows
These bungalows with handmade local furniture and open air shower in the bathroom are perfect for two adults and one child.

“The Cove” – Adults only
In the new adults only sanctuary, there are 2 pools, a boat bar and 10 cove villas with outdoor bath and lounge areas in the middle of a beautiful tropical garden.

Cove Villa – Beach House
The Beach House is located across the street on its own island and offers a very private island experience with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large living area, both inside and outside, a fully equipped lounge, a kitchen and a breakfast butler. But you can also have your own boatman take you to the pool or to the restaurant of the main resort at any time.

Activities

Every day there are various activities on offer, such as snorkeling tours, island excursions, hiking, cultural village tours and much more.

Water sports, snorkeling & diving

With 35 different diving and snorkeling sites, Paradise Cove offers an incredible number of opportunities to explore the underwater world, dive with reef sharks and turtles or swim with manta rays (May – October).

The PADI diving school with its cool instructors, like Aku, is perfect for beginners, for experienced divers or even to get your diving license.

The colorful soft and hard corals and also the countless fish and sea animals are simply spectacular. And it is also just great to see how healthy the coral reefs are. So far, the most beautiful coral reefs we have ever seen!

Pacific delicacies

The food at Paradise Cove is really excellent. Chef Saveen uses local ingredients for his delicious Pacific cuisine. Most of the ingredients are bought from island farmers and a large part of the fruit, vegetables and herbs are grown locally. Full board is mandatory at Paradise Cove.

Breakfast /Black Rock Restaurant
The extensive breakfast is served in buffet form in the open restaurant with a beautiful sea breeze and delicious à la carte dishes.

Lunch / The Sandbar
The 3-course lunch can be enjoyed on the ocean shore in The Sandbar with a delicious Fijian beer (Vonu) or cocktail. We were impressed by the delightful Wagyu beef burger. The coconut soup with shrimps and garlic bread, and the typical Kokoda are also a treat for the palate.

Dinner /Black Rock Restaurant
In the evening, the delicious three-course menus are served in a beautiful romantic atmosphere accompanied by live music and kava drinking ceremony.

Tables are set-up in a different spot every evening with either a view of the ocean or the pool.

The Indian-influenced Chef’s Beef or Fish Curry is highly recommended!

Friday evenings, the typical Meke dance is performed in front of the Fijian buffet. With local dances and songs, you get to know the Fijian culture a little better. The warrior dances are especially spectacular!

We thoroughly enjoyed sitting with the resort staff after dinner and listening to them sing and play the guitar. Of course, this always involved a few rounds of the local kava drink made from the roots of a pepper plant. This is exactly how the locals spend their evenings – what a serene lifestyle!

Nauka Spa

At the Nauka Spa, named after the island of Naukacuvu, the treatments (massages, facials, manicures and pedicures) with pure Fiji products are entirely adapted to the needs of the body.

The Sanchaya, Bintan, Indonesia – Tropical Luxury & Exclusive Beach Holiday

Tradition, elegance, and relaxation combined with excellent service

Located on the beautiful Lagoi Bay, this exclusive boutique hotel with its extraordinary design is only 50 minutes from Singapore and about a 10-minute drive from Bandar Bentan Telani, the main ferry terminal on the Indonesian island Bintan.

The 5-star hotel, The Sanchaya, which means “collection” in Sanskrit, is located on a beautiful beach and offers pure relaxation and luxury with its enormous pool, unique suites, a Balinese spa, and impressive service.

“The Sanchaya is doing for Bintan Island today what the Hamptons did for New York yesterday” – Luxury Hoteliers

“Even when we are fully booked, its never crowded. Space is luxury. So that is a luxury!” – Magnus Olovson, General Manager of The Sanchaya

As soon as you arrive at Bintan by ferry, The Sanchaya experience begins when you are greeted by the lovely Sanchaya staff and can make yourself comfortable in Sanchaya’s private hotel lounge. While you enjoy a refreshing drink and snacks, the team will take care of your luggage, and even check-in is done right here.

Arriving at the hotel, you will be warmly welcomed by staff in their traditional uniforms and by the General Manager Magnus Olovson himself. The guests are called “residents,” and the employees are called “craftsmen” or “artisans”. From the very first moment, they welcomed us, they used our first names, which adds a personal, intimate touch.

The Sanchaya attempts only to recruit and train locals as staff to support the surrounding communities.

For the Russian entrepreneur, Natalya Pavchinskaya, a lifelong dream came true in 2014, when she opened this luxury hotel on a 10-hectare estate on Bintan’s most beautiful beach. In cooperation with the renowned design company p49, a hotel with 29 villas and suites, a private residence with spectacular ocean views, a clubhouse, two restaurants, a bar,  a lounge, a 50-meter-long infinity pool, a spa, a fitness center, a yoga pavilion on the beach and a croquet lawn was constructed.

“I was inspired by the European Salons of the 18th and 19th centuries… and wanted to recreate their feeling of hospitality; of bringing people together, in the home of a close friend, to share the same interests in art, in culture, in travel.” – Nayalya Pavchinskaya, founder of The Sanchaya

The hotel’s award-winning design is reminiscent of a beautiful old colonial mansion. It is inspired by the European salons of the 18th and 19th centuries and the rich history and culture of no less than ten different Southeast Asian countries.

The spectacular 50-meter long infinity pool – known as the “Tasanee Pool,” which is Thai for “beautiful view,” offers an unparalleled view of the palm-fringed beach and the South China Sea. Upon arrival at the pool, you will be given a picnic basket with still and sparkling water, cold towels, sunscreen, and after suntan lotion, brought directly to your sunbed – what fantastic service!

There are also sunbeds and day beds with umbrellas along the stunning endless beach.

Every day, the beach is cleaned of the dirt that is, unfortunately, caused by ships passing by en route to Singapore.

“A luxurious perspective on the design, culture and, most of all, tranquillity of the region.” – L´Officiel

In the lounge with its library, you can make yourself comfortable on the elegant Chesterfields with a good book among works of art, antiques, books, and other artifacts. The “Decanter” offers wine and cheese tastings with the hotel sommelier.

Villas & Suites

With spacious villas, suites with sea views, and Thai villas at the lagoon, the spacious hotel offers many different possibilities to enjoy your stay in its beautiful and stylish surroundings.

Nine junior suites are located on the second floor of the main building, in The Great House. Eight other Sanchaya suites are situated in 4 villa-style buildings on the estate’s grounds, either on the ground or the top floor of the building.

One-Bedroom Villa

The villa, with its modern design and stunning works of art, has its own living area, two private verandahs with upholstered sunbeds, an exquisite bedroom, an espresso machine, a large maxi-bar that includes beer, soft drinks and chocolate, and a beautiful bathroom with a free-standing bathtub and exclusive Aesop skincare products.

In the Chinese-style wardrobe, you have a large selection of movies and music with Apple TV and an iPad.

The bathroom is elegantly designed with Moroccan floor tiles, ground-level showers by Lefroy Brooks, white tiles, and tasteful pictures on the walls. It is a wonderfully relaxing oasis.

Presidential Vanda Villa

The private residence is located directly on the beach next to the main house and consists of two buildings with four bedrooms and a private pool.

Lawan Thai Villa

The bamboo-clad Thai villas are arranged around a beautiful artificial lagoon and are ideal for couples seeking more privacy.

The Dining Room

Under the leadership of Italian chef Giacomo Turzo, Indonesian and contemporary European delicacies are served in the Dining Room.

You can enjoy á la carte breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner all day long.

The extensive À la carte breakfast menu offers a variety of delicacies including traditional Jamu juice, local dishes such as Mamak Mee Goreng from Malaysia, and western dishes like Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and truffle Hollandaise.

Bar

The Bar offers selected and their own branded spirits, an extensive cigar collection, and shisha pipes in the ambiance of a late 19th century gentlemen’s club. Between leather armchairs and various antiques, like binoculars, trumpets, watches, and telescopes, you can enjoy unusual cocktails, such as the Bintan Chili Pineapple Margarita, with live music.

It is particularly spectacular when a cocktail is prepared at your tableside by the resident mixologist. The James Bond-style Vesper Martini – stirred not shaken – is a must! Incredibly tasty and one of the best we have ever had!

In the evenings, you can enjoy the wonderfully delicious dishes inside or al fresco with a view of the pool and the South China Sea while being spoiled with excellent service.

Tasanee Thai Grill

The Thai restaurant by the pool serves delicious authentic Bangkok street cuisine with fabulous views of the azure blue sea.

The Sanchaya Spa

The spa is tucked away in a lush garden and offers a selection of treatments in single and double treatment rooms, both in- and outdoors.

THE SANCHAYA SIGNATURE
Relax with a foot cleansing ritual followed by our Signature Massage – a fusion of Asian-Indonesian techniques designed to melt away tension and promote deep relaxation using Java volcanic warm stones, long strokes and stretching movements, complemented with our Signature oils and completed with an Oriental Head Massage.

The treatments in this natural and serene environment are magically relaxing and very professional. Highly recommended!

Couples Swept Away, Negril, Jamaica – Adults-Only Paradise for Honeymooners & Romantics

Five-star Luxury and Premium All-Inclusive Service at the Romantic Couples Resort

When you think of Jamaica, the first thing you think of is reggae. And in fact, it can be found everywhere on the island. But Jamaica has so much more to offer. The tropical surroundings are breath-taking, the people are lovely, and the hotels are fantastic.

With the Couples Resort, the all-inclusive concept was virtually invented on the island. In 1978, Abe Issa, the father of all-inclusive resorts, built his first hotel, the Tower Isle, in Ocho Rios. He transformed the hotel, popular with many Hollywood stars, into the world’s first all-inclusive resort for couples only. His vision of the perfect romantic getaway for couples is now being continued by his son Lee, other members of the Issa family, and the dedicated managers and staff.

Today there are four couples hotels, which as Jamaica’s most popular all-inclusive luxury resorts with their adults-only concept, promise relaxing, romantic, and luxurious holidays. And this promise is kept – the wonderfully chilled atmosphere, the stunning long sandy beach, the friendly staff, the personal service, the delicious food, the cocktails and activities without end – here you will be spoiled from head to toe.

Situated on the world-famous Seven Mile Beach in Negril, the elegant Couples Swept Away is the perfect place for romantics, sun worshippers, and sports enthusiasts.

“TRUE LOVE IS A TRIP OF A LIFETIME.”

On 19 hectares, there are 39 bungalows with 312 suites in the Caribbean style, six restaurants, eight bars, three swimming pools, five jacuzzis, and a 4,000 square meter sports complex, hidden in the palm trees and surrounded by tropical nature. The love and respect for the natural scenery are evident everywhere here. No roof is higher than the palm trees around it.

At the heart of the Couples Resorts, are the friendly and dedicated staff. Initially, many foreigners were working at the hotels, but now the local employees have been trained and equipped with the necessary skills to such an extent, that all employees, except for three, are Jamaican. Terrific!

ALL THE FUN, ALWAYS INCLUDED

With the All-Inclusive Unlimited concept, more is included in the room rate than you would expect. Not only are you spoiled from morning to night with delicious food and drinks, but there are also plenty of (water) sports and excursions.  And even the wedding ceremony is already included.

PURE WHITE SAND BEACH

Crystal clear warm water and an endless beach for relaxing and swimming, the palm-fringed Seven Mile Beach is simply gorgeous!

Here you can relax and enjoy tasty cocktails and snacks with a view of the ocean under wafting palm leaves.

NO KIDS –  NO SINGLES – NO HASSLES

Those who don’t want to swim in the sea can also refresh themselves in one of the three pools or enjoy a cocktail at the Swim Up Bar and marvel at the sound of silence. Well, there is the twittering of birds, the roaring of the ocean, and a few laughing and cheerful guests that can be heard, but otherwise, it is wonderfully quiet!

ISLAND CHIC STYLE

The 312 suites are distributed in the tropical garden in bungalow-style buildings. Some offer sea views, and others have views into the tropical garden. They are stylish and elegantly furnished in Caribbean style.

Premier Beachfront Suite
The most popular suites in the resort are perfect for your honeymoon. They are located directly on the beach, are furnished with comfortable seating, floor-to-ceiling cedar shutters and French doors in classic Caribbean style furnishings and have no televisions.

Great House Ocean Suite
These spacious suites offer a great sea view – even from the bathtub.

Garden Verandah Suite
The Garden Verandah Suites have a private balcony, terracotta tiled floors, and French doors with cedar shutters.

GOURMET DINING

Patois Patio

This open and caribbean style restaurant was our favorite. It offers an ingenious a-la-carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes in bistro-style with Caribbean and Latin American flavors and wood-fired oven pizzas. Really delicious!

The Palms

The open-plan main restaurant offers a huge selection of fresh fruit, freshly baked bread, and omelets in the morning. Lunch and dinner consist of salads and fresh seafood and are served with live music in the background.

Really enchanting are the staff and also these little feathered friends.

Lemon Grass
This cozy restaurant serves Asian-style dishes under the starry sky with a view of the main pool. It is best to book in advance.

Feathers
The Fine Dining Restaurant serves continental cuisine with a distinctly Caribbean flair. Reservation in advance is advisable.

Reggea Beach Dinner
This beach barbecue party with live reggae music and a fire show was an absolute highlight. A great party with delicious food – right by the ocean.

ROMANCE REWARDS

The number of returning guests to the popular Couples Resorts is impressive. Those who sign up for the “Romance Rewards” program can get free nights and other benefits. There are even special dinners for returning guests.

As a family-owned resort, we take pride in providing a delightful experience that reflects our cherished island traditions. Our sadness to see you leave is only tempered by the excitement that one day soon, we will open our arms and “welcome you home” again. – Lee Issa, Chairman

FEELING IRIE

Everywhere in the romantic Couples Swept Away, you can see happy faces!  And we also felt really comfortable here – “Irie”! The enchanting people, employees, and even guests, and the unique concept make a holiday here particularly relaxing and unforgettable! There is so much to experience that a few days are hardly enough. Due to the Adults-Only concept, it is also wonderfully quiet and perfect for a honeymoon or romantic break. Each of the four Couples Resorts has its own charm! We liked the endless beach, the a-la-carte breakfast at Patois Patio and the catamaran cruise the most. Jamaica and Couples Resorts are definitely worth a trip and highly recommended!
